Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum is a leading research institution and visitor attraction in the UK. We maintain collections of 70 million specimens from the natural world and 6 million books and manuscripts. The Museum is also a major centre for the study of UK biodiversity and as such has extensive experience of developing taxonomic keys

Allied to our scientific expertise we have developed a comprehensive public programme for both schools and the general public. Through this programme we foster curiosity and engagement with the natural world and a better understanding of the challenges affecting our planet's future.

As part of this programme we have created online identification tools aimed at schools and informal learners within the UK. If you are interested in testing further tools as they are developed, please email: s.rae[AT]nhm.ac.uk
